Table 01 , 17 March 2026
The first New Works Table brought together Midlands business leaders for an evening exploring how data, AI and digital security are reshaping business strategy. Our guest speaker was Stephen McPartland, former Security Minister and MP, who brought a rare perspective on where policy, technology and business intersect , and what that means for the decisions leaders are making right now.

Who attends
01
You built it yourself
Twenty or thirty years building
something real. You have seen
recessions, pivots and plenty of people
who claimed to have all the answers. You
are open to what AI might mean for your
business , but you need to hear it from
people who actually operate, not people
who advise.
02
You inherited the
responsibility
You took over from a parent or founder
and now you are writing your own
chapter. You want to move faster than
the generation before you did , but you
also know what you stand to lose if you
move wrong. You want peers at the
same level, not consultants with a deck.
03
You run it day to day
Regional director, COO, divisional MD.
You have real authority and real
accountability. You need external
perspective and practical intelligence to
shape the decisions you are already
being asked to make , and you do not
have time for anything that is not
directly useful.
Who organises it
People with roots in this region
and a reason to care about its future.
New Works Table was started because we kept having the same conversation one to one and realised it was better with twenty people in the room. We live and work here and we have a genuine interest in what happens to Midlands businesses over the next decade.

before founding Greenrepublic. An AI
product partner for businesses ranging
from Cathay Pacific and the UN to fast-
growing companies across the UK and
Europe.

Co-founder of Lunar Agency, a full-
service brand and marketing partner
with strong Midlands roots and clients
